The QDF file is the primary/main data file saved by Quicken Accounting Software. Other related ".q**" files may be recreated by Quicken as long as the QDF is valid.

There is no default location where QDF file by Quicken get saved because whenever you create a new QDF file Quicken ask you, where to save the File
You just need to double click on it and it automatically open with quicken.
Note: Quicken should be installed in your system to open QDF file
